Why does everyone have to pay for the cabling of the electrical power network? Can't the price be increased only for those customers who are affected by cabling?

According to the Electricity Market Act, one geographical homogeneous operating area of an electrical power network company must have the same price within the same customer group.

For example, all customers using the same fuse size form a customer group.

Yes, it does. Under electricity market legislation, the transferee of an electrical power network or, in the case of a merger, the acquiring company, is responsible for restoring any overpricing to the customers of the transferring or merging electricity network company for both the current and the preceding four-year monitoring period.

When does the Energy Authority investigate whether the pricing of the network service is reasonable?

The Energy Authority examined the reasonableness of pricing for 2024–2027 in 2028.
